Question:
After I change to the new UI No., will it affect my past purchase and sale of real estate? Do I need to make any changes? Will I incur additional fees? Who can I contact about any related questions?
Answer:
1. Real estate that has already been registered will not be affected by the registering party (registered title-holder) changing to the new UI No.
2. If the registering party (registered title-holder) requires to change their UI No. in the real estate registration information, they can self-prepare the relevant documents (including the identification document bearing the new UI No. and the rights certificate) and apply to the land office to register the change of UI No. This will be exempted from registration and certificate fees.
3. If you have any questions about this, you can inquire direct at the land office for the area where the real estate is located.
