Will it affect my tax filing if I have not changed to the new UI No. immediately after January 2, 2021?
Answer:
No, it will not. The tax filing system can accept both the new and original UI No..

Question:
Will my previous tax filing records disappear after I change to the new UI No.?
Answer:
No, they will not. Data of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Interior will be interlinked, so that previous tax filing data will not disappear, and tax filing can be done smoothly with the new UI No.

Question:
I have already changed to the new UI No., but used the original number when I applied for my Alien Digital Citizen Certificate. Can I still use the old Digital Citizen Certificate for tax filing?
Answer:
The Ministry of Finance’s verification information pertaining to the Alien Digital Citizen Certificate is provided by the Ministry of the Interior. If an Alien Digital Citizen Certificate was applied for using the original UI No. and no application to cancel it has been made to the Ministry of the Interior, it can still be used for tax filing, but the UI No. in the tax declaration information will be the original UI No. of the Alien Digital Citizen Certificate used for the tax filing.

Answer:
You can call the National Taxation Bureau’s toll-free hotline 0800-000-321 during service hours 8:30~17:30. If you have questions concerning the use of the tax-filing software, you can call 0809-085-188 during service hours 8:00~18:00.

Can EZ WAY be used for real-name authentication after the change to the new UI No.?
Answer:
At present, it is not possible for ARC holders to use the EZ Way app with either the new or original UI No.’s, due to identity verification issues. It is currently still in the stage of studying whether the future implementation of the new UI No. issuance for foreign nationals on January 2, 2021 will be brought into planning consideration.

Answer:
No, it will not. If you have any questions, you
can call the uniform invoice customer service
number: local call 412-8282, add 02 for a
mobile phone call.

my e-invoice carrier? Who can I contact about
any related questions?
Answer:
Changing to the new UI No. will not affect consumers’ use of carriers to store cloud invoices. If you have any question relating to e-invoices, please call 0800-521-988.
