Question:
After I change to the new UI No., will my course selection records and past credits be affected (including divisions of continuing education)? Who can I contact if I have any related questions?
Answer:
1. Course selection records and credits at college-level and above are not managed according to UI No.’s. The relevant records are managed and kept by the schools themselves. If a student has any question concerning this, they should contact their school directly.
2. In the future, after students in senior high school and below have changed to the new UI No.’s, specific individuals will still be identifiable through information such as name, date of birth, class, etc. Their course selection records and academic results can be checked at their schools, and the relevant information will not be affected. If a student has any question concerning this, they should contact their school directly.

Question:
After I change to the new UI No., will my previously awarded degree certificate need to be changed? If so, will I be charged a fee for this? Who can I contact if I have any related questions?
Answer:
1. Schools at college-level and above issue their own degree certificates, and the schools themselves decide the format of their certificates. Most schools’ degree certificates do not bear any reference to a UI No., so will not need to be changed. If a degree certificate does bear reference to the holder’s UI No., the holder can contact the school directly about obtaining a replacement if and when so needed, and can ask the school any questions about payment of fees for such replacement.
2. The graduation certificates of most schools at senior high level and below bear only the student’s name and date of birth, and do not bear their UI No. Moreover, the change of UI No. will not affect the validity of the graduation certificate, so the holder will not need to change the certificate. If you do have a real need to change your graduation certificate, please contact your school directly about related questions such as the replacement fee.
