Question:
After I change to the new UI No., do I need to take the initiative to change my labor insurance information, or will it be done automatically? If I have to do it, will there be any charge? Who can I contact about any related questions?
Answer:
1. Foreign nationals who change to the new UI No. should inform the insured unit to which they belong, or themselves fill in the Application Form for Change of Insured Person’s Particulars and send this and a photocopy of their ARC to the Bureau of Labor Insurance for processing the change.

Question:
If an employer has recruited a migrant worker through direct hiring, and the migrant worker changes to the new UI No., what steps is the employer required to take in respect of this? Who can I contact about any related questions?
Answer:
To assist employers’ direct hiring of migrant workers, an employer may, according to need, provide a migrant worker’s ARC number and expiration date to the Direct Hiring Service Center, which will subsequently send a reminder when it is time to renew the ARC. Question:
After I change to the new UI No., will my past labor insurance seniority be automatically amalgamated? Will it affect my retirement rights and pension? Who can I contact about any related questions?
Answer:
1. After you change to the new UI No., your past labor insurance seniority accrued under use of the original number will not be automatically amalgamated. You will need to fill in the Application Form for Change of Insured Person’s Particulars and submit this to the Bureau of Labor Insurance for processing the change. The original UI No. will be amended to the new UI No., and only then will your past insurance seniority be amalgamated with your new insurance seniority.
2. Provided that you take the required steps to have your labor insurance particulars changed by the Bureau of Labor Insurance after you change to the new UI No., then your rights of claim to old-age benefits and the amount thereof will not be affected.

Question:
I have already changed to the new UI No., but I previously used my original UI No. to apply for my Alien Citizen Digital Certificate. Can I use that old Alien Citizen Digital Certificate to check my previous and latest labor insurance information? Who can I contact about any related questions?
Answer:
1. No, you cannot. The Alien Citizen Digital Certificate you applied for with the original UI No. cannot be used to check your latest labor insurance information. You need to reapply for an Alien Citizen Digital Certificate with the new UI No., and go through the procedure for changing from the original UI No. with the Bureau of Labor Insurance, so that your past and new insurance seniority can be amalgamated, and then you will be able to use the Alien Citizen Digital Certificate applied for with the new UI No. to check all of your past insurance data.

Question:
After I change to the new UI No., what should I do to update my New Labor Pension System information? Will my past and subsequent contributions to the system be automatically amalgamated? Will my rights of claim to the pension be affected? Who can I contact about any related questions?
Answer:
1. Provided that you have completed the application for your labor insurance information to be changed to the new UI No., then your New Labor Pension System information will all be amalgamated. If you have only paid into the New Labor Pension System and have not participated in the old labor insurance, then you should take the initiative to fill out the Labor Pension Application Form for Change of Information and submit it to the Bureau of Labor Insurance together with a copy of the front and back of your ARC, to have the change processed. After this has been done, your New Labor Pension System seniority, individual account and accumulated benefits will be automatically amalgamated, and your rights of claim in the system will not be affected.
