Who Visited Taiwan Most in 2025? Top 10 Visitor Origins Revealed According to the National Immigration Agency, Taiwan welcomed a total of 8.575 million visitor arrivals in 2025. Japan ranked first with 1.483 million visitors, followed by Hong Kong (1.204 million) and Korea (1.017 million), each exceeding one million. The United States, mainland China, and several Southeast Asian countries—including the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia—also ranked among the top 10. These figures reflect frequent tourism, business, and people-to-people exchanges between Taiwan and neighboring Asian countries, with strong inbound travel activity throughout the year.

The National Immigration Agency oversees immigration inspections at Taiwan’s airports and seaports and continues to improve clearance processes and service quality. By streamlining procedures, the NIA aims to make entry and exit smoother and more convenient, providing a friendly and efficient clearance experience for all travelers.
