Starting from October 1, 2025, the National Immigration Agency (NIA), Ministry of the Interior, implemented the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC), an online version of former arrival card. However, the NIA has recently detected that certain fraudulent websites have been created to masquerade as the official TWAC platform. These fake sites use misleading advertisements or search keywords such as “TWAC” and “Taiwan Arrival Card” to deceive foreign travelers into providing personal information or making payments. The NIA re-minds all foreign travelers entering Taiwan that the TWAC online registration is completely free. Please remain cautious and do not be deceived by fraudulent websites.Foreign travelers have to complete the online registration through the official TWAC website (https://twac.immigration.gov.tw) within three days before arriving in Taiwan. The official site does not charge any fees. The public is urged to stay vigilant to avoid falling victim to online fraud. The NIA has already collected information on suspected scam websites and has reported the cases to the Minis-try of Digital Affairs and the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the National Police Agency for further investigation.
To ensure that the public is aware of the correct TWAC website ad-dress, the NIA has emphasized the “free of charge” message in its promotional video and has formally notified the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Taoyuan International Airport Corporation, the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and airlines to assist in disseminating accu-rate information. Additionally, the Border Affairs Corps of the NIA has strengthened publicity efforts at airport and seaport arrival halls to remind foreign visitors to use the official TWAC website for reg-istration.
The NIA once again reminds travelers to stay alert against emerging online scams and to complete their Taiwan Arrival Card registration only through the official NIA website or by scanning the official TWAC QR Code, so as to avoid financial loss.
