As a result of increasing transnational marriage in Taiwan in recent years, the number of new immigrant children has continued to increase each year. The school-age population therefore appears with diverse backgrounds. This summer, NIA shall respectively organize a two-day multicultural summer day camp at our county (city) Service Centers from July 2 (Sat) ~ 8 (Fri), 2012. We welcome every new immigrant children and youth to join us and learn more about one’s native culture and the cultures among different ethnic groups. The event also uses real life-oriented and interesting courses to let them learn to know each other and have respect. The Multicultural Summer Day Camp will be an unforgettable summer event.

The event is designed with rich and diverse activities, including: multiple language learning - basic greetings in different languages, get to know other cultures, introducing toys from different countries, learning of multi-cultural tolerance and respect from games, drawing art appreciation, teaching of nursery rhyme songs of different countries, DIY workshop, multicultural drawing and so on.

The Multicultural Summer Day Camp is a free event with a limited number of participants. We welcome elementary students of every grade level to participate this summer event. If the classes are full, no more applicants will be accepted. The event date, location and contact person at each county (city) Service Center are listed in the attached file. For more information, please contact Miss Yeh (Tel: 23889393 ext 2526) or your local county (city) Service Center.
