A foreign with legal residence in the R.O.C. fails to enter via permit because of the overdue single re-entry permit or not applying for a re-entry permit in advance. What to do upon said circumstance?

1. A foreigner subject to entry without visa or entry via a visa on arrival may enter in said manner and may directly apply for restoration of resident status at the local NIA service center.

2. A foreigner not subject to entry without visa or entry via a visa on arrival shall apply for a visitor visa at an overseas mission or representative organization of the R.O.C. and may enter via permit. The restoration of original resident status may be applied directly to the local NIA service center after entry.

3. Said application shall be submitted within the validity of entry without visa, entry via a visa on arrival or entry via a visitor visa and no overdue application may be accepted.
