Two methods apply to a foreign spouse as a national via quasi-naturalization of nationality of the R.O.C. via marriage on the verge of exit during residence.

Method 1: The applicant of a resident certificate of entry and exit during residence submits the application form of entry and exit, R.O.C. passport, original resident certificate, 1 2”x2” photo, NT$ 400 for a certificate, Power of Attorney (not for the applicant present in person) and a registration envelope (not for the applicant to receive the permit in person) at the local NIA service center, and shows the R.O.C. passport and the entry and exit permit at exit.

Method 2: The applicant of a temporary entry and exit permit submits the application form of entry and exit, R.O.C. passport, original resident certificate, 1 2”x2” photo and Power of Attorney (not for the applicant present in person) at the NIA service center in Taipei City. The applicant may exit upon permission.
