The National Immigration Agency of the Ministry of the Interior will be providing the following special services for foreign travelers during the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday from Feb. 2 to Feb. 7, 2011.

1.For foreigners who lose their passports, they can file their case with the nation-wide specialized operation brigade of the National Immigration Agency and get a certificate to apply for a new passport or travel document from their country of origin’s representative office in Taiwan. If foreigners plan to travel with their new passport or travel document during the Chinese Lunar New Year, they should report to the Border Affairs Corps of the National Immigration Agency and get a “red color” exit registration form.

2.During Chinese Lunar New Year, there will be no services provided by National Immigration Agency Service Centers nationwide. Foreigners, or nationals without household registration, who have overstayed their visitor or resident visas for more than three months and plan to leave the country during the holidays can go through exit procedures at the National Immigration Agency’s Border Affairs Corps located at the airports.
